Christophe Sotin (JPL-Caltech/NASA):
The main discoveries of the Cassini/Huygens mission in the Saturn system.

The Cassini/Huygens mission has been the largest international deep space mission ever launched. During 13 years, from October 2004 to September 2017, this mission provided observations of Saturn, its rings and satellites including Titan, its largest moon whose surface was hidden by a dense and hazy atmosphere. After synthesizing
the most important discoveries made by this mission, the presentation will detail some major scientific questions that future missions will have to answer.

The presentation was organized by Astronomical Institute of Charles University, Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, V Holešovičkách 2, Praha 8, lecture room T1, on March 27 2019.
